Patrons of the first marathon round of CodeIT confirmed

Patrons of the first round (Marathon) of CodeIT will be Prof. Krassimir Manev, President of the European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (eJOI)and Prof. Dr. Aleksandr Tormasov, Rector of the Innopolis University in Russia.

Prof. Manev was among the initiators of the first European Junior Olympiad in Informatics eJOI which was held in Sofia in September 7-13, 2017. The contestants were young IT talentsfrom 22 countries members of the Council of Europe. Bulgaria was the first country to host the Olympiad and prof. Krassimir Manev was among the initiators and was elected president of eJOI. During the awarding ceremony on September 12, 2017 he handed the flag of the Olympiad to the next country to host eJOI – Russia, which was accepted in person by the rector of the Innopolis University Prof. Aleksandr Tormasov. Innopolis is the first university in Russia focused on education and research in the field of IT and robotics.
