Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", including the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (FMI), traditionally collaborate with one of the oldest and most respected programming competitions in Bulgaria – CodeIT. For me, as Dean of FMI, it is honour to be one of the patrons of the 25th edition of this international competition. Our goal as teachers at FMI is not only to educate well-equipped specialists with deep theoretical knowledge in the fields of mathematics, informatics and computer science, but also to produce genius young scientists with practical skills who will be the future leaders in the IT sector. The approach and spirit of CodeIT are fully in line with the values of our faculty, which makes our long-term partnership with Musala Soft so successful. We are pleased to continue our work together to achieve our common goal – the transfer of solid knowledge and skills, including by providing new challenges to young people, in order to develop and maintain a high level of professionalism in the exact sciences and the IT sector in Bulgaria.
