Patron of the round - Prof. Maya Stoyanova, PhD and Bogolyub Simov
Prof. Maya Stoyanova, PhD has completed her higher education at the FMI of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" in 1992 with a major in Mathematics and a specialization in Differential Geometry. In her senior year she began teaching a lab in Linear Algebra, LAAG and Descriptive Geometry part-time. Since 1999 she has joined the Department of Algebra, giving lectures on core curriculum and electives in the field of Algebra. Her research and publications are in the field of algebraic coding theory. She is author of more than 50 scientific publications in various reputable magazines. She has served as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics between 2017-2023, and since May 2023 she has become Dean of FMI.
