Sixth round Sprint

The School of Mathematics and Informatics A & B was founded on 01.04.1998 in Shumen,Bulgaria with the purpose of supporting the out-of-school preparation of the students from the second to the twelfth grade in mathematics, informatics and information technologies. In 2018 was celebrated its 20th anniversary.
1,800 adults and over 2,000 children have completed various courses in the school so far. A science-based system for initial and specialised computer training has been developed and the results of the implementation have been exported and evaluated in national scientific forums.
Over the years, A & B School graduates have earned a total of 51 gold, 44 silver and 49 bronze medals from national competitions; 15 gold, 34 silver and 26 bronze medals from international competitions.

Rusko Shikov was born in Yambol. In 1972 he graduated the Mathematics class in the “Vasil Levski" high school in Yambol. The same year he became a member of the Bulgarian national Mathematics team at the International Olympiad in Mathematics in Torun, Poland, where he won a bronze medal. He completed his higher education in 1979 at the Kharkiv National University in Kharkiv, Ukraine, majoring in Mathematical Physics. Between 1979 and 1992 he was working as a designer and developer of systems for managing technical processes in “Yambolen" AD, Yambol. Since 1993 he has been the owner and manager of companies in the field of technological process automation. Currently he is the owner/manager of OPCO Sys Ltd., Yambol.
In 1982 he founded an academy for Informatics and competitive programming at the Mathematics High school “Atanas Radev" in Yambol, which later became known as the Shikovi Programming School. Rusko Shikov is the head of the school, where he also teaches, to this day.
Over the years he has been a member of the National Informatics Commission, a coach for the national Informatics team, as well as their leader for a number of international competitions.
