Contestants and partners gathered online for the ceremony to announce the winners in the 21st edition of the international programming contest CodeIT (https://codeit.bg/), organized by Musala Soft. The President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, under whose patronage the competition is held, made an official address to the guests. The first place in the ranking is for Martin Kopchev - a student in 11th grade at the Highschool of Natural Sciences and Mathematics “Acad. Ivan Gyuzelev”, Gabrovo, Bulgaria and part of the Bulgarian national team in informatics.
"Mathematics is the true abstract beauty, and informatics allows us to see this beauty in practice. Dear contestants, you are not just authors of programs and application software. You are creators and you create a new outlook to everyday life, which is also a big responsibility. Because no sphere in our life can function without the digital technologies, and developing complex algorithms, you model social relations. Be inspiring professionals and good citizens!" - shared during the online event the President of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Professor Nikolay Denkov, Minister of Education and Science, added in a video address: “You are changing the life around us by creating new technologies that were unthinkable until recently. I wish you not only to be successful professionally, but also to be better and most helpful to the people around you."
The event was hosted by Elena Marinova, President and Co-Founder of Musala Soft. "At Musala Soft we believe that in addition to our direct work in building the future of the software industry with customers and partners, we are obliged to give back to the IT community. Giving is deeply incorporated in Musala Soft’s values. And because Olympic blood runs in our veins, our strongest focus in corporate social policy is elite computer science education.”
