The first round of the 25th season of the international competitive programming contest CodeIT has concluded. This round ranks as the third most attended in the entire history of the competition. Organized by Musala Soft, now part of Qinshift, the contest has been bringing together IT talents from around the world for 25 years, challenging them to find creative solutions while fostering a strong community. Once again, CodeIT takes place under the patronage of the President of Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev.
Competitors from six countries participated in the first round: Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Moldova, Cyprus, and Greece. The score differences between first and second place, as well as between third and fourth, were only 0.5 points, making this not only one of the most attended but also one of the most competitive rounds in the contest's history.

The first round of CodeIT took place under the patronage of Prof. Maya Stoyanova, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", and Bogolyub Simov, Director of Sofia Mathematics High School "Paisiy Hilendarski." The Honorary Chair of the Jury is Krasimir Manev, the first president of the European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (eJOI).
All participants with a non-zero score will receive a T-shirt featuring the new character of the season. Additionally, in each of the six rounds of CodeIT 2025, three participants will be randomly selected to win a sweatshirt and prizes from our sponsors ASBIS Bulgaria and Freckles.
