It is a pleasure and an honor that Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" is once again a partner of one of the most prestigious programming competitions. Our Faculty of Mathematics and informatics has a major credit for the development of this sector with the solid academic education it offers in the field of informatics and information technology. This is the reason behind the excellent realization of our graduates in Bulgaria and around the world.

Successes in higher education is impossible without serious school preparation. The interest in science and information technology must be stimulated since early childhood. That is why I welcome the consistent and long-standing work of Musala Soft to attract and develop the youngest talents and wish the contestants a successful performance in this year's CodeIT competition.

Dear high-school and university students, young people fascinated by the magic of programming,

I welcome you on the beginning of the 23rd edition of the International CodeIT Programming Competition and I wish you countless unforgettable moments during its implementation, many smiles and many realized plans!

In the last few years, there have been many challenges facing the whole world, and most of them have been solved with the help of new technologies. The world has shown that we are already living in a new era and are moving confidently towards a new society that relies exclusively on information, information technology and the freedom to use them whenever and wherever you want. For this reason, programmers take their worthy place in the vanguard of the people who need to take care of the public good and well-being. I believe that many of you realize that in order to be personally happy, we must take care of the prosperity of the society to which we belong. To be truly successful and to live in a peaceful and prosperous world, we must take care not only of ourselves, but of everyone around us. I sincerely hope that each of you will make the world a better place with the power of your intellect and mind, but also with the morality and spirit you carry within you.

Congratulations to the whole team of Musala Soft, whose great initiatives are all around us, and CodeIT is exactly such a great initiative that is turned to the future and to a better tomorrow!

I wish everyone success wholeheartedly!
